Playa Flamenca is one of the most beautiful areas of Orihuela Costa inside the province of Alicante, Spain. This is a place that counts with an excellent road connection with different beaches and points of interests in Costa Blanca.

Playa Flamenca is located very close to La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Villamartin, Campoamor, La regia, Los Dolses and Punta Prima.

It is also situated very close to the most known shopping centers in Torrevieja, Guardamar and Alicante (in the Northern part) and Pilar de la Horadada, San Pedro del Pinatar or Manga, Mar Menor (in the Southern part).

La Zenia Boulevard Shopping Center, located a few minutes from Playa Falmenca, offers 150 commercial units on a surface of 160.000 m2. It counts also with 5.000 free parking spaces for its visitors. All this makes it the biggest shopping center in the whole Alicante province.

Orihuela Costa´s beaches have been recognized as Blue Flag beaches due to the quality of the waters, the cleaning, their security and its selection of services. There is also the Aqualitur Flag recognized by the Valencian Government and the Q Flag for the quality in terms of tourism given by the Spanish Government of Tourism.

The management system of the beaches in Orihuela Costa has the target to guarantee certain standards and count with the requirements in terms of the environment care (according to the rule UNE-EN-ISO 14001 and the norm UNE-ENISO 9001 and UNE 187001).

The sports harbors and the marinas in Playa Flamenca area count with all the necessary services for all navigators: parking spaces, showers, waste collection, security, VHF channels, dry docks, cranes, ramps, drinkable water, electricity, etc.

Touristic routes in Playa Flamenca.

There are different touristic routes and promenades in Playa Flamenca, which bring natural beauty and sceneries and a perfect environment for the whole family.

Some of the main touristic routes of the area are the promenade in Orihuela Costa, the Palm area of Orihuela and the area called Sotos de Molins.

There are also 6 km of bicycle routes which allow a tranquil circulation from Dehesa de Campoamor, Cabo Roig and La Zenia. There is a cycle system which connects the beaches and the promenades of Orihuela Costa, too.

Apart from the beaches, the touristic routes and the golf courses, there are also different places for entertainment at a short distance from Playa Flamenca: cinemas, theatres, horse riding stables, sports harbors, karts, bowling, fairgrounds and cultural centers such as the Archeological Museum of Orihuela.

There are other touristic promenades very close to Playa Flamenca: the natural park of La Mata (Salt lakes of La Mata and Torrevieja) and Queen Sofia Park in Guardamar.

Climate in Playa Flamenca.

Playa Flamenca is located in an excellent area of Costa Blanca which experiences warm and Mediterranean temperatures.

There are more than 300 days of sun all year round and very few rains. The average temperature in Playa Flamenca is 29 Celsius degrees during summer and 11Celsius degrees in winter.

It offers warm temperature, perfect to enjoy the scenery and the beaches in an environment which is based on a high quality of life.

Transport in Playa Flamenca.

Playa Flamenca has easy access to roads, international airports at only few km away and it offers taxi and bus system all year round.

We can easily access the different beaches in Orihuela Costa through the national road called N332. Moreover, this road connects Playa Flamenca to other beautiful beaches in San Pedro del Pinatar and Pilar de la Horadada.

Thaking the N332 direction North will get us to Torrevieja, Guardamar and Alicante from Playa Flamenca in just a few minutes.

The Mediterranean Highway (AP7) eases the transport on the whole Costa Blanca in Spain. From Playa Flamenca we can get to the whole Mediterranean coast (from the North where the French border is down to Algeciras in the Southern part of Spain).

Airports close to Playa Flamenca.

• Alicante-El Altet Airport.

Alicante airport which is located at only 45 minutes from Playa Flamenca provide national and international connections.

It is also known as El Altet airport and it is situated among the 50 most circulated airports in Europe and one of the most important in Spain.

Furthermore, there are low cost companies and charters inside the airport, but also flying companies that maintain their regular flights to different destinations in Europe and to the rest of the world all year round (South Africa, Asia, Caribbean, etc.).

• Murcia- San Javier Airport.

It is located at only 30 minutes from Playa Flamenca.

Murcia´s Airport helds different low cost companies that connect Playa Flamenca with UK, Norway, Belgium, Germany and any other country in Europe all year round.

Bus system in Playa Flamenca.

Playa Flamenca counts with a system of urban buses that circulate all year round.

The urban buses in Playa Flamenca make easier the transfer of short distances between different urbanizations in Orihuela Costa and other areas in Vega Baja region (La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Villamartin, Dehesa de Campoamor, La Regia, etc.)

Urban buses in Playa Flamenca connect with the bus station of Torrevieja. From there, people can connect with other cities in Spain or closer countries.

We can access the service of regular lines with daily frequency towards Alicante´s Airport right from the main bus station in Torrevieja.

Train stations close to Playa Flamenca.

• Orihuela train station.

At only few km from Playa Flamenca we will find the train station of Orihuela, called Miguel Hernandez. Short distance trains circulate from there to Murcia, Cartagena, Alicante, Valencia, Zaragoza and Huesca, but also long distance trains to Catalonia and the South of France and areas in the closest neighbors such as Murcia-Alicante.

At that main train station we can also find the urban and inter-city buses of Orihuela.

• Alicante train station.

The train station in Alicante brings connection on high speed trains to Madrid, Cuenca, Albacete and Villena, long distance connections such as to Galicia, Asturias and Cantabria, but also connections to the train routes of the Mediterranean coast (to Barcelona and Valencia).

There are also medium distance services from Alicante to Ciudad Real, Albacete, Valencia, Cartagena, Lorca and Murcia. The service called ¨Cercanías¨ connects with different city centers in Murcia and Alicante.
